Will Bookies Lose £100,000 in £1 Million Eurovision
Gamble? Bookmakers William Hill are hoping to hear 'Nil Point'
on Eurovision night, with Hills alone facing a massive six figure
payout should Daz win the coveted prize. For the first time ever,
Hills are predicting that in excess of £1 million will be
gambled on the outcome of the event in what has been its busiest
year ever. 'Daz has had far more publicity than other UK entrants
of late, which has driven the market to record levels. We will
be hoping that Daz does not clean up." said Hill's spokesman
Rupert Adams
Daz is currently priced at 7/1 with Sweden the 3/1 favourites
but the biggest move of the week has been for freaky Finland who
have been cut from 25/1 to 10/1 following a considerable number
of bets.
Specials:
100/1 Terry Wogan to be replaced on the night due to inebriation.
20/1 UK Nil Points. 16/1 UK To Finish Last. 8/1 Eurovision winner
to be a UK number 1 single. 3/1 Any Country to get no points in
final.
