Attending the John Smiths Grand National is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, yet it is something you will want to repeat year after year.

The Grand National evokes many memories and almost every year has a nerve-tingling finish. Think of Red Rum, Aldaniti or that famous false start and you think of the National - horse racing’s premier and most popular event. It attracts a world-wide TV audience of six million, and you could be there to savour the atmosphere.

From the moment you arrive at Aintree there is a buzz of anticipation which rises to a crescendo as favourites and first timers alike, line up to take the flag. Beecher's Brook, The Canal Turn, The Chair and four and a half miles of gruelling racing lie ahead before a new National Champion is crowned.

Tattersalls Enclosure Tickets

Aintree Racecourse's Tattersalls Enclosure is the largest and most atmospheric area on the racecourse throughout the three days of the Grand National meeting. Over 30,000 racegoers can be found enjoying the excitement and colour within Tattersalls at Aintree Races and Grand National Satuarday . Owing to the results of Aintree’s redevelopment project, this area is now greatly enhanced and features:
  • The new Aintree Pavilion, a vast covered area with plenty of bars, live music and betting plus racing on the big screens;
  • The Aintree Mound - take your place to view the final fences of all races;
  • The Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure, where you can view the horses and jockeys before and after races, and perhaps decide who you think looks on top form before placing your bets;
  • Access to an array of bars, including the new Parade Ring Bar and Pre-Parade Ring Bar, as well as the legendary Irish Bar within the
  • Princess Royal Stand; plus,
  • Bars and entertainment in the Red Rum Garden.

Steeplechase Enclosure Tickets

Open on Grand National Day only, this enclosure is ideal for those wanting to enjoy John Smith’s Grand National Day at a leisurely and informal pace, with no dress code to worry about. Although this enclosure does not allow access to the Parade Ring or Winner’s Enclosure, it does offer prime viewing of the first few fences of the Grand National course.

Once again, the area will be made up of two contrasting enclosures; the lively Embankment overlooking the first few fences of the Grand National itself, and the more relaxed Canal Turn area. Both offer racegoers impressive facilities to enjoy the Grand National with full betting, catering and bar options.

A seated area will be built to allow viewing of the Mildmay course. This will be located close to Melling Road and will give racegoers viewing of all other races on Grand National day. This area is a great day out for anyone wanting to experience the atmosphere of the Grand National. It is also one of the prime locations for viewing racing over the Grand National fences. This area also features:

  • Fantastic and unique views of the Grand National itself;
  • Unreserved seats overlooking the Mildmay and Grand National course;
  • Live coverage of all of the racing action on a large screen TV;
  • Bars, catering and betting facilities in addition to live entertainment
  • The Steeplechase Enclosure is primarily uncovered, so this area really is for the race goer who is up for a traditional, element-embracing racing day out!
